Creamy Queso

Not your average queso, Velveeta and cream cheese bring the richness, taco-seasoned meat adds depth, and Rotel and jalapeño kicks up the heat. With a secret twist that keeps everyone guessing, it’s bold, creamy, and impossible to stop dipping

Creamy Queso

I first learned about this recipe from an Oklahoma friend, Tommie. She and I met on a low carb board online many years ago and she's inspired quite a few recipes here on the website! (She's actually done a whole lot better with the low carb thing over all these years than I have, but I digress...)

Her family calls this one "The Greatest Queso That Ever Lived!"

I've since learned from social media that a few people have shared a similar secret ingredient queso, so I finally got around to trying Tommie's version, and I have to say... trust me on this. It's really delicious y'all!

Never would I ever have thought to use this ingredient in queso, even though it's actually a staple in my kitchen as it is in many other southern cooks' kitchens, but... who knew?!!

Viral Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger Sliders aka Crack Burgers

These irresistible Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger Sliders — often dubbed the viral 'Crack Burgers' — pack bold flavor into bite-sized patties. Made with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and a punch of ranch mix, they’re the ultimate crowd-pleaser for game day spreads and casual gatherings alike.

These cheeseburgers have been trending on social media for a while now, though they are actually a take of a recipe that's been around forever called Hidden Valley Original Ranch Burgers.

Originally made with just ground beef, ranch seasoning mix and cheese, the internet thought to enhance that a tad and it got the reputation of being called "crack" burgers.

Anything that tastes so good it's a bit addictive gets that designation in our modern world, though for the record, I really dislike that. But... the internet is what it is.

Loaded Baked Potato Chip Dip

All the flavors you love with a loaded baked potato, in a dip! Serve with sturdy potato chips or crispy waffle fries.

Dips are one of my most favorite appetizers! Well, that and wings. And cheese balls. Ah heck, just about any appetizer really... but dips are super easy to make and so tasty.

I especially love the dips that are intended to served cold, because you don't have to worry over keeping them heated up. Just set them out on a sidebar or the coffee table, and forget about it to enjoy the game, or the party!

Firecracker Saltines

Saltine crackers get a flavor boost from a toss in a Ranch flavored, garlic and onion seasoned oil and a fiery touch from red pepper flakes.

Y'all... make some of these to go with that Hissy Fit Dip I just posted. I swear you will love them together.

Although I've been acquainted with a version of these since the 70s, we got real close when The Cajun and I moved our household almost 4 years ago. No, we didn't get rich from my blogging (far from it actually) and get to build our brand new dream home from it.

Au contraire, we, in fact, bought a house that was older than the house we left. We moved from outside the city to town to be closer to the grandkids - and don't you know 2 years ago they went and moved on us! Can't blame them really. They got a bigger house for a great price and we're all in town and close still, so it's all good.

Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese

I love macaroni and cheese in just about any form you can make it.

My favorite, hands down, and one of the most popular recipes on my site from day one, is the 'overly decadent but so totally delicious it's worth making,' special occasion mac and cheese.
